Two souls with but a single thought
Two hearts beat as one.
- Friedrich Halm
The very first wedding I ever photographed I was filling in for a friend who came dow sick and I was totally terrified. I kept thinking to myself, do I have extra film, batteries and was I dressed right? I need to pay attention, focus, and above all get the shot! I remember driving up and thinking “oh how pretty, this is going to be great I have nothing to worry about.” It was on a little lake behind her parents house. It was beautiful and as my assistant and I walked to the pond we could hear someone shooting toward the water. We were startled by the sound and thought we were at the wrong house. My assistant asked “what in the world are you people doing?” One of the groomsmen said “oh we are just shooting at the snakes we dont want them around during the wedding”……….My assistant and I just looked at each other and thought about running away. I thought to myself “oh I am in the wrong profession!” After a moment I began shooting….the wedding not the snakes…….and I have never looked back (except when reptiles are involved.) I love what I do!
